RESET Program: Fitness, Recreation and Nutrition

Join Amarillo Parks and Recreation alongside the City of Amarillo Public Health Department for an exciting FREE health and wellness opportunity, Reset Program: Wellness FIT for Everyone!

Residents ages 12 and up are encouraged to take full advantage of all this program has to offer. From nutritional classes and demonstrations to water aerobics and other exercise opportunities at our Warford Activity Center - we have something for everyone! Keep reading below to learn more and join a RESET class soon. 

Reset Nutrition

Led by COA Public Health this complimentary eight-week class is based off the recommendations from the Dietary Guidelines for Americans.  RESET participants will learn about the importance of nutrition in our overall health, learn how to read food labels, plan healthy meals and snacks on a budget, and cook a healthy recipe in class weekly. Part of being enrolled in the RESET Nutrition class participants will receive a free 2- month membership to the Warford Activity Center to use throughout the duration of the program. Amenities include weight room, fitness studio, gymnasium and swimming pool!

 

Classes

Tuesdays -- 11:30am-1:00pm

Thursdays -- 5:30pm-7:00pm

 

Sessions

Fall: September 10th to October 17th

Winter: January 14th to February 20th

Spring: March 18th to April 26th
